HOOF BOOT RANGE:

Presenting the Easycare Hoof Boot range available through our online store.  Replacement parts are available for all the easycare range and can be installed with common household tools.

No matter what boot style you choose we cannot over stress the importance of correct sizing.

Easycare Down Under fully supports the amazing 30 day money back guarantee offered by Easycare Inc. and if you find you are not satisfied with the boots you choose, Easycare Down Under will gladly refund your purchase price (excluding shipping and handling) within 30 days of purchase.

We need to point out however, that if you purchase the boots from another supplier or online from the US any exchanges etc. must be returned to that original point of purchase. (Full warranty details are displayed in the side menu).

If you are choosing your first pair of boots take time to read the information on each style.  Choose one which suits your riding style best and then see the side menu for that particular boot style to find the appropriate sizing chart.  They are all slightly different so its important!

Some boot styles do not suit horses with hoof deformation (distorted hoof shapes). Others accommodate this because of their unique fastening systems. There is the perfect boot for everyone who chooses 21st century hoof protection!

This form-fitting, seamless boot hugs the hoof and responds like a natural foot. Flexible and tough, this boot adds traction to the hoof, while allowing a free stride and breakover.

Like a glove, this boot provides protection without stifling mobility. The Easyboot Glove material stretches over the hoof and clings to the wall so that debris stays out of the boot even through sandy and muddy conditions. No external hardware means that there is no need to worry about replacing cables.

These boots have a faster breakover and no hardware to catch on the front heel if you are wearing them on hind feet. This boot must be carefully sized and fitted to the hoof. Your horse's width and length must fall into the same size category. If your horse's width and length fall into two different size categories you must choose another boot style. If you believe that you measured correctly but the boot doesn't fit tight try going to a smaller size or chose another boot in the EasyCare line.

Be sure to see the information in our side menu on fitting and sizing this boot as its ability to perform at its best depends on getting a great fit.

The Easyboot Glue-On shell has been developed as a high performance boot and an option for horses in long distance events.

The light weight shell has thin walls that allow the boot to stretch and form to the hoof. The end result is a seamless one-to-one fit that resembles a second skin over the hoof. The Easyboot Glue-On is the closest hoof boot option to the barefoot horse-light weight, no hardware and a seamless fit.

In order for this boot to work properly, it must fit snugly, the foot must be dry during application and the glue-on process must be carefully followed.

This boot is perfect for the following situations:

  • Pack trips
  • Multi-day rides
  • Endurance events
  • Competitive trail rides (Most CTR's do not allow boots that come above the coronary band.
  • Any circumstance where the presence of hardware is a concern

These boots are meant to be disposable, used once or twice and then thrown away. Glue left on the inside of the boot may affect performance. We do not recommend that a boot be left on for more that ten (10) days in a dry environment or five (5) days in a humid environment.

The Easyboot Bare was introduced in 2006 and has been a huge success. The Easyboot Edge builds on the success of the original model while bringing several improvements:

  • New fastening system makes boot application easier.
  • Padded tongue adds comfort and allows the boot to stretch and flex.
  • A more aggressive tread pattern conquers challenging footing.
  • The gaiter is redesigned for a seamless fit.
  • A smoother interior hugs the hoof.

The Easyboot Edge is a sturdy boot with a long-lasting, semi-aggressive tread. The boot opens up wide enough for the foot to slip in easily. Adjustments may be made with the "Easy Key" that comes with the boot, a screwdriver or a penny. Padding on the tongue ensures that the boots are not overtightened.

These boots are great for short or long-distance rides.

These boots will not fit a horse with excessive flare or wide feet.

Sold in pairs (one left and one right boot)

 THE EASYBOOT EPIC:

sizing diagram

Easyboot Epic

Easyboots have been the industry's leading horse boot for the last thirty years. During this time period, Easyboots have been used to win endurance races, complete mounted treks from 2,000-18,000 miles in length, provide traction to mounted police units, treat many hoof problems and ride a horse home after a lost shoe.

Although the horse riding boot concept has continued to improve each year, in 2005 we introduced several enhancements to the Easyboot and the Easyboot Epic which incorporate testing and feedback from horsemen all over the world.

Changes in technology nearly always occur after the original release of an item - think of the rapid evolution of most electronic toys we own. These changes do not mean you must give up your old boots--any generation Easyboot is a great Easyboot! We will continue to support, repair or replace any boots from the entire EasyCare horse boot line as set out in the EasyCare Horse Boot Return Policy.

Using Easyboots is a natural way to provide hoof protection, traction, treatment, cushioning and correction while allowing the horse to go barefoot at all other times. They fit snugly to the hoof, are lighter and last many times longer than standard steel plates. Properly fitted, they stay on as well as nailed-on shoes with an important advantage - if an Easyboot is pulled off, the rider can put it right back on.

     THE OLD MAC G2Old Mac's

Every Old Mac's horse boot has a unique hi-tech performance outsole, incorporating the unique Hoof Suspension™ System. The specially developed Thermo Plastic Urethane (TPU) compound will minimize and help speed up recovery from concussion-related injuries.

Aimed at improving your horse's soundness, well-being and performance, these boots will extend your horse's working life!

When used during transport, Old Mac's protect your horse from bulb and tendon damage, as well as hoof wall and sole bruising. Their exceptional traction will help prevent slipping on the loading ramp and offer increased confidence inside the trailer. Please note that the use of boots over shoes voids the wear warranty.

Breeding:  You can protect both the stallion and mare against kicking injuries during breeding by fitting Old Mac's Multi-purpose Horse Boots. The unique outsole design will also significantly improve traction during serving. Our equine friends often suffer skeletal structure injuries due to losing their footing on greasy or hard surfaces. This sudden hyper-extension of the limbs can cause serious spinal, joint and/or ligament damage. Riders, too, are often injured as a result of a horse losing its footing and falling on its rider. The traction offered in Old Mac's unique hi-tech performance outsole helps ensure a safe ride for you and your horse.

   THE BOA BOOT

The Boa offers a "dial up" fastening system for no fuss application.  The perfect boot for trail riding and pleasure riding.  They come inclusive with gaiters.

The Boa Horse Boot™ is one of the first horse boot to use materials and technology previously found only in modern athletic shoes and snowboard boots. Modern materials and manufacturing techniques, combined with the unique Boa Lacing System™, make the Boa Horse Boot™ .

boabootThe outside tread pattern of the Boa Horse Boot™ has been designed for traction, yet allows the hoof and lower leg to move after contact with the ground surface. There is a fine line between traction and aggressive traction. Boots or shoes with aggressive traction don't allow movement of the hoof and lower leg, causing unneeded lower limb stress and injuries. The Boa Horse Boot™ has been designed to provide traction similar to the natural barefoot hoof. Boa Horse Boots™ provide traction without injuries.

The Boa Lacing System™ makes Boa Horse Boots™ easy to put on and take off, and micro adjustments inherent to the closure allow the boot to fit snugly to almost any hoof. Boa Horse Boots™ fit snugly around the hoof and above the hairline without joint interference during motion.

Although Boa Horse Boots™ have many veterinary and medical uses, they should not be used to hold medications or invasive substances. Many of the medicines used to treat hoof ailments will react adversely with Boa Horse Boot™ leathers and the urethane sole.

Sold as pairs (incl. gaiters)  -      Size 000 - 3 $249.95         Size 4  &  5  $269.95

The Easyboot Rx is just the prescription for horses requiring a therapy boot that offers stability and support without being heavy or clunky.

Veterinarians, hoof care professionals and horse owners alike rely on the Easyboot Rx to help horses heal and recover quickly. It provides support and relief for horses suffering from chronic lameness, laminitis, founder, navicular and other lower limb/hoof problems.

The Rx is an excellent choice for those horses that simply have difficulty standing on hard surfaces for extended periods of time. The boot can be used to speed recovery and offer protection after surgery or injury, lessen fatigue and add protection during trailering as well as offer a safeguard in the breeding shed.

The sole of the Easyboot Rx is a combination of durable and soft material, much like that used in human orthotics, in a light weight package. All seams and edges of the upper are rounded for safety. Three air vents provide air circulation keeping the hoof cool while preventing the accumulation of dirt and debris. Each boot comes fitted with an EasyCare Comfort Pad to provide immediate relief and additional sole support. Replacement comfort pads in three densities are available at a very affordable price.

Application is quick and easy. The unique upper of the Easyboot Rx folds down and opens large enough to accommodate the wide base of a hoof, allowing for quick application without strength or force. After the hoof is placed in the Easyboot Rx, two hook and loop tabs are fastened to provide a secure fit. A quick pull on the hook and loop tabs and the Easyboot Rx is easily slipped off the hoof. Each boot has a double hook and loop lock system that prevents the boot from opening unintentionally.

The Easyboot Rx is not intended for riding but can be used for light turn out.

 Need Help?

If you still have questions we are here to help, please feel free to contact our staff  at Easycare Down Under:

email   easycaredownunder@bigpond.com

If you email us photos of your horse's hooves* please down-size them to jpeg format.

Take the photos after a fresh trim, stand your horse on a hard  flat surface, concrete is best and take shots - clearly show:

1.   the sole view

2.   the side view

3.   the heels with the hoof (weighted and on the ground) taken from behind the with the camera at ground level.  Please be careful when taking this shot...safety first!

4.   one shot of the entire horse side view (standing relaxed - please don't arrange its legs or raise its head, but just let the horse stand as it chooses.)

Be sure to send the horse's hoof measurements (after a fresh trim) along with the photos and let us know what type of riding you do or are planning to do in your new boots.

Please be patient as it may take a day or two before our Equine Podiotherapist can look at your shots.

*  If you can, it is always best to have a hoof care professional assess your horse and fit your boots for you "in the flesh".  Often photos can be misleading.  Information given from photos is meant only as a guide to boot sizing.
